During the Excellence in Psychology conference, held on December 14, 2018 in Madrid at the CES Cardenal Cisneros, Mrs. Alicia Koplowitz received the recURRA-GINSO 2018 “In favor of Children” award, granted to the Foundation that bears her name. This award, presented by the president of the Ginso Association, Alfredo Santos, recognizes the outstanding work that the Alicia Koplowitz Foundation carries out in favor of comprehensive and individualized care for children. The award distinguishes the Alicia Koplowitz Foundation for its support to studies and research through specialization and research grants in Neuropediatrics, Clinical Psychology, Psychiatry and Neurosciences of children and adolescents. Likewise, it is also awarded for its leadership in projects to raise awareness and improve the quality of life of children. Finally, the celebration of scientific conferences focused on child and adolescent mental health is valued.
