Grants for Research Projects in Child and Adolescent Neuroscience

– Team led by the Principal Investigator, Dr. Juan Manuel Encinas Pérez of the Achucarro Basque Center for Neuroscience, Leioa, Vizcaya, which includes the researchers: Dr. Soraya Martin Suárez, Dr. Nerea Llamosas Muñozguren and Ms. Lorena García Ruiz-Clavijo. Project title: “Anti-neuroinflammatory treatments to preserve neurogenesis, interneurons and neuronal and circuit activity in a model of childhood epilepsy”.

– Team led by the Principal Investigator, Dr. Juan Salvador Nàcher Roselló of the Consorcio Centro de Investigación Biomédica (CIBER), Madrid, which includes the researchers: Dr. Maria J. Portella Moll, Dr. Alicia Valiente Gómez and Dr. María José Escartí Fabra. Project title: “Impact of early adverse experiences on the thalamus and the development of depression”.

– Team led by the Principal Investigator, Dr. Roser Nadal Alemany from the Institute of Neurosciences, Autonomous University of Barcelona, with the participation of the following researchers: Dr. Beatriz Molinuevo Alonso, Dr. Albert Bonillo Martín and Dr. Albert Quintana Romero. Project title: “Circulating mitochondrial DNA: a window into stress and behavioural problems in girls and boys from the ABCD cohort”.

– Team led by the Principal Investigator, Dr. Marta Rapado Castro of the Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón, Madrid, which includes the following researchers: Dr. Silvia Gadea del Castillo, Dr. Lourdes Fañanás Saura and Dr. Iñaki Zorrilla Martínez. Project title: “Behavioural analysis in children and adolescents: Case-control study of artificial intelligence applied to the early detection of risk factors in relation to the presence of trauma in childhood (Traumat-IA)”.
