The Alicia Koplowitz Foundation, in the figure of Dr. María Guisasola, Scientific Coordinator of the Alicia Koplowitz Foundation was invited to join the expert meeting of the Child Mind Institute of the Global Health Center-Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Global Health Center that was held on October 23rd, 24th and 25th in New York, USA.
The meeting focused on two main blocks:
– Mental health data on children in low- and middle-income countries (“Data”)
– Psychosocial interventions adapted to these regions (“Intervention”).
On October 25, the symposium “The Global Crisis in Youth Mental Health: A Dialogue With World Mental Health Experts” was held at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library in New York with presentations by Andreas C Darcopoulos, Co-President of the Stravros Niarchos Foundation and Dr Harold S. Koplewicz.
The Foundation’s commitment as a member of the International Advisory Committee of the Child Mind Institute is to remain a member for three years and to attend the annual meeting in New York, both in person and online.
