The eight Research Grants in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry,were awarded to the following research groups:
The gruop led by Dr. Guillermo Gervasini Rodríguez, from the University of Extremadura. Project title: “Identification of susceptibility genes for anorexia nervosa and influence on characteristic psychological traits”.
The group led byDr. Josep Perapoch López, at the “Hospital Universitario Vall d’Hebron, Barcelona”. Project title: “Estudio observacional retrospectivo. Relationship between prematurity backgrounds and drug consumption in the treatment of ADHD during childhood. Retrospective observational study.”
The group led by Dr. Pablo Mir Riveraat the “Hospital Universitario Virgen del Rocío de Sevilla”. Project title:“Neuronal plasticity in Tourette syndrome.”
The group led by Dra. Marta Rapado Castro at the “Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón de Madrid”. Project title: “Oxidative and neuroinflammatory markers of cognitive dysfunction and negative symptoms in psychosis first episodes of early onset: 2-year longitudinal study by proton emission spectroscopy.”
The group led by Dr. Jaime Moyá Querejeta, at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. Project title: “Brain correlates of alterations in cognitive flexibility in Nervous Anorexia, a study with functional magnetic resonance before and after treatment, comparing exclusively weighted improvement and more cognitive weighted improvement of patients.”
The group led by Dr. Juan Salvador Nácher Roselló, de la Universidad de Valencia. Título del proyecto: “Influencia del consumo de cannabis durante la adolescencia sobre el desarrollo de la esquizofrenia. Tratamiento experimental mediante la administración de antagonistas de receptores canabinoides.”
The group led by Dra. Carmen Moreno Ruíz, at the “Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón”. Project title: “Biological mechanisms involved in neuroprotection by Omega-3 fatty acids in early-onset psychosis.”
The group led by Dr. Carles Escera i Micó, at the “Universidad de Barcelona e Instituto de Investigación en Cerebro, Cognición y Conducta (IR3C)”. Project title:“Underlying cortical-subcortical neurophysiological mechanisms to language alterations in autism spectrum disorders.”
