During the celebration of the 24th World Congress of Psychiatry in Mexico, 14 to 17 November 2024, the World Psychiatric Association (WPA) awarded the Early Career Psychiatrist Award to Dr. Andres Roman Jarrin, Alicia Koplowitz Foundation Fellow in Pittsburg, USA (2021-2023) and member of the Association of Scientists in Child and Adolescent Mental Health-Alicia Koplowitz Foundation.
The award recognizes the recipient’s professional career. It was presented by outgoing WPA President, Dr. Danussa Wasserman and Dr. Thomas Schulze, President-elect.
Also, in the course of the WPA Dr. Andres Roman Jarrin was awarded the first prize “WPA-3 minutes-presentation competition”, for the presentation of part of the research work of his doctoral thesis.
