Carolina Pastor Jordá

Medical specialist in Psychiatry. Degree in Medicine from the University of Valencia (2007-2013). She completed the fifth year of Medicine at the University of Turku (Finland) through the ERASMUS program.

She completed her Psychiatry residency from 2014-2018, at the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre in Madrid.

During the residency she has worked several months in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Center, Adolescent Day Hospital and two months in the Crisis Unit and Autism Spectrum Disorder Unit at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu de Esplugues de Llobregat), and in Pediatric Neurology.

She has also rotated one month as an observer at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, Canada, in a unit of neurodevelopmental disorders in adolescents and adults.

She has also been trained in the Autism Diagnostic Observational Schedule – 2 (ADOS-2), and in the Autism Diagnostic Interview Revised (ADI-R), by the University of Barcelona (Dra. Amaia Hervás Zúñiga), and has completed the specialist course in Clinical and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy: the Child and his Family, by Dr. Emilce Dio Bleichmar, from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, and the one-year expert course in Affective Disorders, developed by the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares.

She has participated in research projects developed at the Hospital 12 de Octubre, and has participated in several communications, book chapters and articles, as well as posters for congresses, both nationally and internationally.

She is currently completing her clinical and research training at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
