Victor Pereira-Sanchez, MD, PhD, is a psychiatrist. He obtained his medical degree (MD) in 2014 at Universidad de Navarra, in Spain, where he also completed a residency program in psychiatry in 2019 and obtained a doctorate in philosophy (PhD) in 2021 with an international thesis which merited ‘Summa cum laude’. He completed a Fundación Alicia Koplowitz fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at New York University in 2021, and obtained a Fundación Alicia Koplowitz postdoctoral research fellowship for global mental health research at Columbia University in the City of New York between 2021-2022. His prolific research and international leadership focus on the development and implementation of research, teaching, and service provision capacities in mental health for all populations in New York, Spain, and low-income countries.
