Dr. Santesteban-Echarri completed a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Deusto, and a Master’s degree and Ph.D. at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. She specialized in Clinical Psychology at the Institut Pere Mata University Hospital. Currently doing a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Calgary of Canada in the research program of youth at clinical high-risk for psychosis and severe mental illness. Author of multiple scientific publications and recipient of several research awards. Dr. Santesteban-Echarri is interested in the development of new technologies to facilitate the evaluation, monitoring, and treatment of mental health symptoms in children and adolescents. The Fellowship of Short Stays of the Foundation Alicia Koplowitz 2019, will allow Dr. Santesteban-Echarri to perform a research stay of 4 months in the child and adolescent Virtual Reality team and in the First-Episode Psychosis team at the Medical University of Vienna from Austria.
