Degree in Medicine from the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil in Ecuador. He specialised in Psychiatry at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra.
His complementary training includes the official Master’s Degree in Initiation to Mental Health Research at the Biomedical Research Centre for the Mental Health Network at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Master Psychopharmacology Program at the Neuroscience Education Institute.
In addition, she has furthered her training in cognitive-behavioural psychotherapy at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy and is currently completing the Professional Certificate in Youth Psychiatry organised by the Australian organisation Orygen and the University of Melbourne.
He has received the Basque-Navarra Society of Psychiatry Award, the Spanish Society of Psychiatry Residents’ Research Assistance Programme Grant and the European Psychiatric Association Travel Grant for his research activity.
Thanks to the Advanced Training grants from the Alicia Koplowitz Foundation, she will be doing a Clinical Fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Pittsburgh, USA, over the next two years.
