Clinical Team<\/h4>\nThe Foundation<\/strong> created the first clinical team<\/strong>, made up of four professionals, which has now expanded to fifteen<\/strong> (psychiatrists, clinical psychologists and nurses specialising in mental health), who belong to the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service of the Gregario Mara\u00f1\u00f3n Hospital in Madrid<\/strong>.\u00a0 The current clinical team is co-funded by the Alicia Koplowitz Foundation<\/strong>.\u00a0 At present, it has been implemented in 57 schools<\/strong> (public and subsidised) of ordinary education, distributed in the districts of Retiro, Moratalaz and Vic\u00e1lvaro; in Rivas-Vaciamadrid, Arganda del Rey and Villarejo de Salvan\u00e9s.\n

Functions of the team<\/h4>\nThe functions of the teams<\/strong> include advising teachers and counsellors<\/strong> to promote both the early detection<\/strong> of problems or disorders and the integration<\/strong> of pupils with mental health problems or disorders.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The team also performs a care liaison function<\/strong>, offering clinical assessment<\/strong> (in schools) or pupils<\/strong> who need it and whose parents\/legal guardians request and authorise it, as well as channelling appointments in other mental health services<\/strong> that may be necessary and coordinating interventions<\/strong> (between health centres, schools and families).<\/p>

Extension to special education centres: Multidisciplinary team<\/strong><\/h4>

Creation of a team made up of five specialists in therapeutic pedagogy, a specialist in hearing and language, a counsellor, a psychiatrist, a clinical psychologist and a nurse specialised in mental health<\/strong>, which attends to the 69<\/strong> public and subsidised Special Education Centres (CEE)<\/strong> in the Community of Madrid.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
